Privi Research and technology (R&D) development center is a fully equipped synthetic research laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment, a pilot plant consisting of all the required modern equipment and facilities for the ease of scale up process. The Synthetic Organic Research lab is approved by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology.

The Research Centre spread over 15000 sq. ft is located at MIDC, Mahad, Maharashtra and facilitates seamless integration between the lab, pilot plant and various production facilities.

The R&D includes synthetic organic lab, analytical method development lab, pilot plants for scale up & application development support lab. New equipment & technologies to help create efficiencies in process conditions, yields, safety of the processes and quality are continuously evaluated and modified to achieve higher consistency, new product development and cost efficiency.

A talented and dedicated pool of over 70 personnel which includes Doctorates, Post graduates and Graduates in Engineering and Science with multiple years of experience and expertise. The core group with multi-disciplinary expertise is working on research, process development and new technology insertion, in close collaboration with UICT and in strong association with various technology institutions like IIT, NCL etc.

The R&D working system is designed with an approach to drive the “concept till commissioning” process, enabling it to work from milligrams to multi-kilograms. The team and infrastructure is capable of shaping the new concept to a commercial scale in the in-house pilot facility. Privi is constantly preparing for the next 20 years by focusing on the short-term development of existing products and on long-term innovation.

In Privi new products are selected based on market intelligence and are further developed in the R&D facilities by its core technical team.

The R&D technical team is also engaged in optimizing the manufacturing processes, which not only improve yields, but also reduce cycle time, cost, effluent, safety and environmental risks, with the focus on a complete sustainable solution for the everlasting existence in the market.
